The power of the platform
Continued from Part 1…
On tolmolbol, each member can connect or create a local community based on the same principles they use to build a circle of real-world friends. An example of a small community or a circle can be observed in the case of Arnab and his gang of friends. This network can grow exponentially when Arnab or his friends connect to other friends of friends. Each of them can share their personal bio, like this profile of Amit, and let others know of their interests. Friends can connect, compliment and share messages with each other. They can also let others know of things like which swimming pool they go to, which restaurant they had dinner the previous night or their favourite DVD parlour.
A member is able to reflect in her own feelings and her experience of a service. For example, take a look at what Kayan thinks of the Bombay Blue restaurant at Mumbai. Other city-zens can read, compliment, agree, bookmark, recommend or write their own review of the same service provider. I read this review of Rithesh about Palace Heights, a multi cuisine restaurant in Hyderabad. The next time my wife and I wanted to dine out, we sure landed there, solely because of the 5 star rating of Rithesh and his personal opinion. All I had to do was login, SMS the contact details of Palace Heights to my mobile and make a reservation for a table for two.
Members of the tolmolbol community are in reality consumers of real-world services. tolmolbol allows for connecting with other consumers of services, sharing information by way of reviews, messages, Q & A and various other options. In sum, tolmolbol provides a platform for the community to share useful feedback with service providers as well as for each member of the community to make an informed decision regarding local businesses.
