Aren’t we lucky we live in a country that adopts and celebrates just about all festivals? It’s the time for carols, cakes and candles.
December brings out the party spirit in all of us. Take a look
at what our friends are doing around your neighbourhood.

Santa knocks when he sees socks,
Mommie bakes ~ yummy cakes,

Here in Mumbai as the bells jingle, it’s the start of great end-of-season sales and a new reason to eat sweets!
Bandra is the place to be if you want to get your hands on home-made plum cakes. Small bakeries with big tastes abound. You’ll get superb cakes n bakes at Pot Pourri or for a more reasonable rates, head for Mongini. For that li’l Brit twang to your tastebuds try Gaylords or check out Theo Broma, a favourite bakery of many.
For fairy lights, tinsel and other Christmassy decorations, head for Crawford Market. Where you get everything from Christmas trees to the last spot of confetti.
Of course, if you’re a true- blue Mumbaikar, you’ll be getting ready to party. The old world charm of the Taj beckons, whether in town or In the hippest of suburbs. Dance the night away at Enigma, Insomnia or our very own Hard Rock Café. The choices are endless.
