| By now I’m sure everyone knows the origins of this tradition. Whether it is the vestiges of a pagan ritual or a tribute to the Saint Valentine, it’s all about love. |

| Love has evolved much over the last few decades. Gone are the days of swooning when Donne's romantically declaimed that his luve is like a red red rose. Then, love was grand. Nowadays I'm told, divorce is 100 grand. |

| And yet, love is all around us. Everyone has experienced it, if not expressed it. So, this Valentine's day, make it a point to express yourself. Whether it is to family, friends, boss or neighbour. Neighbour? you say. Well, why not? Remember the camaraderie of yore. When you actually knew your neighbours? Why not revive that and say hello to your neighbour. Who knows it might be the start of a wonderful relationship. |
