This might sound cliched but what is that one thing you like about Chennai?What is that one thing which according to you gives a special touch to the city?Personally,I love the beach. What about you?

I love the beach, too.
And the people, they are so warm and friendly. unlike the more commercialized 'big' cities.
A BIG fav of mine is the Amethyst coffee shop, where I have spent many evenings playing scrabble with old friends....

Yeah! It was supposed to open just about the time I left Madras.
it's owned by the guys who run 10 Dwng Str. in hyd isn't it?

| Well,Its is the same folks who run it here too.Its not all that big,but then,its different...dont know about the branches in other cities...

| 10 D in hyd is a cool place as well. some of the best music in town is played here ! but coming to one thing i like about chennai - its got to be idli-vada-sambhar at any decent tiffin centre :)

| The Best thing about chennai I feel is Besant nagar beach, where we can spend hours together enjoying.

| oh well there r so many things abt good ole madras.. first of course the city itself - the ppl, culture, then the filter kaapi, hot idly sambar, the beach, theosophical society, the theatre fest, maargazhi music fest, mylapore - the gypsies, triplicane - the old city houses, the kolu season!! i wudn b surprised if sum1 thot i was 85 haha.. but these are things tht endear madras so much to me.. i simply n truly am madras fanatic!
