As a student of psychology I wanted to ask everyone's opinion of the subject and whether they think it has a place and/or future in India...

No I don't think so.. to be more practical.. if u like psychology and u want to study it for your interest, then it is okay.
Otherwise it is not money making course. U can work on your own for your satisfaction. The requirement for the psychologist in hospitals is very low when comparing to other business but i do agree it is a interesting subject. i dont know how much it is helpful to life rather than understanding people.

I wouldn't be surprised if every company in the distant future employed an in-house shrink to boost employee productivity ;-)

I guess it depends on how you look at it. Every field has its own challenges and scope. Psych analysis could be called in for various cases and reasons. We have criminology..we have therapy and we have like ritesh puts it... productivity boosting methodology. If you love your stuff then jus find ways to make money while enjoyin the challenges. Nothin comes cheap n easy miss. Gotta work our asses off if its worth the trouble.

Figure it out.
