christians r doing gr8 service to the country. conversion is the ploy found by the sangh parivar to attack them. parivar want to continue the varna system for ever in this country. they want the backward to remain backword.educating the downtrodden will defeat their plans.by eliminating christians they want to prevent whatever little development that may reach the poorest of the poor.i request all civilised people to voice their concern aginst this henious crime

| I am also shocked listening to these attacks on chritians who are known for there deciplined life and service. And what made me surprised is the home minister of Karnataka saying that warning of implemention of the Article 356 and 355 by central govornment should have not been issued as there is no blood shed being taken place. A person who is in such honourable position is waiting for the blood shed to be taken place inorder to implement law and order in the city, this is really rediculous. These are the churches that build Hospitals, Schools, Dispensaries, Univeristies, Colleges, and Schools all over India.How could they be so ungrateful. I request every citizen of india to protest against these attacks. These churches are trying only to educate the backward people. And help them in living a respectful life.

Yes, u r right. "There are the churches that build Hospitals, Schools, Dispensaries, Univeristies, Colleges, and Schools all over India" by Xians. But, they help the poorest of the poor only when the poorest of the poor convert them selves as Christains. Think about it. I am not blaming the Xians. But India completely doesn't depend on Xians for their deciplined life and service. U'r post seems to be criticizing complete India and people other than Xians.

These are the christians who bring those unwanted people lying down on roads eaten by rats then clean them and give them a new life by providing them shelter. I know few service centers where most of the people who are been brought are non chirstians and they are never been asked to convert and still serve them. And i came across few missionary educational institues which celebrate diwali and other festivals..This is what christians are..I really dont know what made you to think that i am criticizing complete india and people other than xians..if anything in my previous post then that was not intentional and is been interpreted in a wrong way.we live in a secular country and infact india is a perfect blend of different religions and cultures lets not spoil this by giving importace to the words of few communal parties like bhajrangdal and VHP:(

Harriat -- U know only few service centers but I have seen many people who have been shifted to christainity for those services. Mostly from villages. And even some fathers force people to convert. For unofficial things like these there would not be any official evidance.
Can u name the missionary educational institutes which celebrate diwali and other festivals? Though these educational institutes celebrate diwali and other festivals for the sake of Hindus who are in those institutes, but most of the hindus go to churches and temples of other religion with out any descrimination. That is what Hindus are. We all believe that all people are equal.

I am not with the conversion or against it..we all live in a democratic country and every person has a right to choose what he or she has to be..No one can force them to follow any specific culture.If you really think that there are forcilbe conversions that are been taking place there is alway law and order for that.how far is it correct to choose the path of voilence.

iam prud to be an indian ,and am proud the hindu culture and its values,as iam writing three more churches were attacked.forcible conversion even you know is not possible, what they accuse chritians is of conversion by inducements, i too do not approve this . to me hinduism or christianity do not require people who change their god for a few rupees for they will change their relgion again if somebody offer them more money. if any christian believe that he spread the message of jesus by offering money he is afool.j message of jesus is that of love.and sevice..jagan imagining that all what u said is right do u think it is right toattack churches.how can peoplle take law into their hands.if there is any complaint law of this land is capable of dealing with it.or have u lost faith in the law of this land.by attaking people u r making them lose faith in law and police. do u want to make a peace loving people feel inseccure.and make them lose their faith in their motherland.i congratulate christians for being calm inspite of all the provocatons.thats what is expected of u. lets togethermake this country a safe place for all people irrespective of their religion or caste

| Conversion or not, every citizen of the country should stand up and say that what he does not get in his religion/caste of his birth is not going to get any peace of mind in any other adopted religion. Even the renowned music director AR Rehman got converted to Islam because he got services from a Muslim brethern in his time pf distress. Nothing comes free in this world. There is a price tag for every action. But honestly according to me, religion should be confined to one's home and private gatherings. Can we force people to adopt this attitude?

| Well Said Bala....Religion is an inner self-identity which links a human to the supreme whom we have given different names of Ishwar,Allah,God Almighty etc. and politicians know that this is the weekest point in humans which can easily be rubbed to ignite passion and channelize it for destruction to serve their purpose of divide and rule policy.Mere sprinkling of water on a person's head cannot change his religion.People who change to other religion would not get salvation if they have not undergone the inner-self experiencing the connect by whole hearted acceptance of the path to be followed.With due respect to my Hindu brethrens I would like to urge the educated Hindu brethrens to see how the politicians are influencing the wayward sheeps for their gains.When a person is battling for life in Hospital, even Hindus turn to the Sisters (mostly christian nurses...)equating the doctors and nurses to Gods.Even Amitabh was nursed to safety by a christian nurse called Lily...at that time people forget the dividing line and even pray to christian god for miracle.Several known personalities Mohammed Ali (earlier Calsius Clay),A.R.Rehman got converted with faith and beleif.So let people decide the path to follow for salvation and let's not become a pawn in the hands of Politicians and fundamental forces like VHP and Bajrang Dal who are nothing but extention of terror units of politicians...service to their religion is the farthest thing on their mind.

| Rami you are a dummy....what our Leonardo Vinci meant was is Bajrang Dal justified in attacking Christians over their perception of Conversion...?Jagan...I can understand the Hindu influence which blinds you towards hearing the truth and seeing things in the proper perspective.In Orissa some people who accepted Christianity were reconverted....and hold your breath...the purification or reconversion was done by making them drink cow's urine and eat it's excreta.Is this the normal way Hindu's become Pure...or accept Hinduism at their faith...? Acts like these are condemnable as the group of hooligans ...that is what VHP and Bajrang Dal activists are who don't know what faith means and isn't it true that GOD lives in the heart of every human being...isn't it a Universal Truth?

| thanx rami for partiicpating in the discussion, i was pained by the way a few responsible people reacted after 7000 houses were burnt down and one lakh people became refugees in their own country. when i said right, i meant whether they are justified in doing so. thanx stephen for the prefix leonardo, i dont know if i am eligible even to polish his shoe, jagan pl. try to know the ground realities ,after 60 yrs of independace, even to this day we r not in a position to provide the tribals even the basic necessities of life. we r exploiting them in the name of protecting their culture.what ever little development that reached them is due to the missionaries.it is true that a few of them have become christians. if conversions r taking place in the proportions as propagated bysome vested interests % of christians in this country would not have declined from 3% in 1947 to present 2.5%.christians r the most peaceful community in this country, coversion is only a political ploy to attack them.the maoists have taken the responsibility for killing the swamy and it is ridiculous that even today the attacks r continuing in the name of that incident.

If I go with my personal experience, Bajrang Dal is far away from rationalism. With the kind of racist agenda it propagates, it doesn't deserve to be called a political group of secular India.
In Ahmedabad I have seen it operate with this "slaughter anyone who's not a hindu" ideology, be it a muslim, parsi, or christian.
When they are not burning valentine's day cards, mocking other religions, or storming churches, their side business is to take commission for admissions. Seen it happen in my own university.
Bajrang Dal or any Tom, Dick n Harry, no one has the right to ridicule any religion, specially Christians being the most peaceful ones.

| Even the British were Christians who renovated India. Actually If you are so ignorant to blame Christians & the teachings of Christ, next time you don't eat in a good Hotel owned by Christians. What rights a person has who kill the christians on one hand and preach about his religion ? Christ taught the whole world to 'Love his neighbour' by dying in the cross for the whole world. He had died for the whole world & risen on the third day & Beware that he did that not just merely for Christians, But for the whole world.... I am proud of Christ & ready to die for him..... Amen

| Hey Daits,tone down your temper.I agree with you that VHP is a fascist organization with Bajrang Dal being their militant outfit.Political parties create such Tigers to fulfill their own agenda's but once the tiger tastes blood,it will become a maneater.We have seen the examples in the past of Bhindranwale outfit who held Punjab to ransom.Modi too would most certainly meet his waterloo at the hands of these militants.The IIM stretch at Vastrapur was once a gourmet's delight with mouth-watering delicacies served on the roadside by Enterprising Students of IIM-A who doubled up to do business outside in the evenings.But with BJP strongly in power,the Non=Veg 'Laaries' got a dictat to change the menu overnight and now there are only Veg dhabas operating.Naturally the vegetable prices are bound to rise and affect the vegetarian households.The only prayer from Christians would be for reformation of the Bajrangi's to Open their eyes,mind and heart to feel the difference when you accept the spirit of brotherhood and live in harmony....that day Gujarat would be truly a Garvi Gujarat ( a proud Gujarat ).

First of all I would tell you that media is creating a negative impression on Non Cristian activist. And people are not comming to know how the conversions are being made.
The funds which are sent to india for development of dalits are wrongly directed by Cristian priests towards conversion of People to Cristians. These people who are involved in accracting people to convert to cristian are making them greeded to the funds they provid. Almost all the Converted Cristians got Money and all other needful facilities inturn of dicting their religion which is bad to the human Man Kind. I agree that no one is comming to help these economically background people. If these Cristian Missionaries are comming forward to help these group of communties, why they asking them to convert to Cristian. Put this Question in your mind you get lots of answers from your. Once other religion overtake majority of population in India Other country will start controlling many parts of country, which is the treat to Our Country. Being an Indian we don't want to Other Nations start ruling like British and Moghals ruled in past 800 Yrs and taken away the wealth from our Indian Kings. If you see this happed because Kings during that time had no co-operation among them selfs to protect our Coutry. People who are converted to cristian are first made impression that hindu religion is not a wise religion to become a prefect Human Being which is wrong. Why they are preaching to people that your religion dosent have values. thanks for entering the conversation. this is the right way to solve problems,your argument that hindus r not coverting people is baseless see the iskon majority of its foreign menbers were once chistians,only yesterday there was reoport regarding mata amruthanandamayi going to france and scores of people attending her meetings,sai baba has scores of believers across the glob,bhagavan rajnish is another person,sri sri ravi shankar goes to christian countries and he too have several christian followers,. hinduism is being propagated in christian countries in the name of yoga. all this prove that hindus also indulge in conversion. supposing if mass conversion is taking place as you said,why would you think the percentage of critians in india reduced to 2.5% from the 3% in 1947. further tribals are not hindus, they are nature worshippers, they do not have any idea of hindu gods and godesses, when you r propegating hinduism among them ,u r infact coverting them. further the maoists have climed the resposibility for killing swamy. inspite of somebody saying that they r resposible christians r being accused of killing him this is really ridiculous. chrisianity is against violence,or killing no real believer can ever approve killing somebody. from your agument i feel that you are also supporting the killing of innocent people. if everyone starts taking law into their hands this country will fall into anarchy. i cannot understand you attitude towards the media why should they spread wrong information,.note that 99% of the media houses are run by hindus, why will they wrongly accuse hindus of something. my dear friend understand the ground realities these people r not interested in the welfare of the country. wrapped inside all the controversy is personal agenda of some vested interests, educated people like you should be able to understand their hidden agenda,othrwise these people will continue dividing the people in the name of relegion and cast.
