Hi Friends, I feel that only reason for fastly not developing our country is politics because of these dirty politics if some person also came to develop the country definetely he will be blamed. If you take US not only politicians but also common people are also know their individual responsibilities and they don't try to get rid of their responsibities, they follow those perfectly. But in country its not like that at every stage persons tries to avoid responsibilities if nobody is observing. One more thing is that in US only two parties will be there but if it is in India anybody can start a new party. In my opinion this one of the big mistake. If we have only two parties and we have to choose from those that is somewhat different situation naa... Because every individual will have some different ideas and he would like to apply those. If we give freedom to everyone there is no meaning naaa......

US is a wrong example to give here. Their political classes are pretty maligned as well. The US president drags his whole country into Iraq without a semblance of reason and an iota of proof. What do the citizens do? They realise after 2 years that it was a mistake.

In US common people know their responsibilities, but a lady is still able to sue and win 130,000 dollars from bookshop for tripping over a kid and breaking her leg. Poor lady! Only catch, It was her kid she tripped over and the store had to pay. Why US citizens are responsible is because they have been brought up being strictly regulated by authorities at every corner and there are things they know would land them in trouble. But that is also the reason why they would blindly follow their president to Iraq, they are free but institutionalised whether they like it or not.

I am not saying US is not developed or the US people are not disciplined. Its just that perceptions do not tell the whole story.

I would not agree with you about two party idea. You mean to say in Nagaland only INC or BJP should be elected whether they are aligned to the sentiments of Nagas? You would be setting a foundations of riots across the length and breadth of the country. Every individual has different ideas and that is the true beauty of a free and fair democracy, that every on can have their different ideas. Everyone has a right to freedom, as long as they do not encroach onto somebody else's right to freedom.

We complain about the political clan but we have to be sympathetic to the fact that the politicians are reflections of the citizens because they are one of us. If we are corrupt, how can we expect any better governance. It is people who run the system and not the system that runs people. If you want system to run the people, we would gain development but loose our identity.

Personally, I am fine with the chaos.

one root cause for almost 99% problems dat our country faces is population. When we talk of corruption in politics, if only there's been lesser population, there wud've been lesser politicians and it'd be easier to keep corruption under check.

Then y is it dat olympic medals/nobel prizes are'nt proportional to population while corruption is???? the reason for lack of medals/prizes isnt the dearth of talent but its the difficulty to spot talent among such a huge population. exactly similar problems r also seen in china, but the situation there is only slightly better because it has been independent since some centuries(unlike India whch gained its independence only 60 yrs ago) and thus they had a lot of time trying to build up a system suitable to them.

Soln: since the problem we hav is a unique one, the soln has to be unique too...just stop lookng at US/France/China/England for adapting their political system or any other systems. they just wudnt work here. wat we need is the IASs, IPSs, politicians, engineers, doctors and every other able person to think out of the box and come out with solutions that can be applied to INDIA, not just copying frm US or any other so calld developed countries.

I think India should now compare with China because China is growing faster than India. Most of the outsourcing business is now taken by China, Malaysia and other countries because of rupee-dollar problem and increasing standard of living. US will perish in next decades.

Lack of internal strife in the developed nations is what makes them what they are.Add to that a disciplined society and education and you know why India lags light years behind.
