A film by the American filmmaker, Sadia Shepherd who has a mixed identity with her father being an American, her Mother, a Pakistani Muslim and her grand mother, Nani, a jew.
Her film traces the lives of jews in india and how some of them desperately crave to go to their hometown Israel. While some manage to go, the others are contented with a life in India. The film also highlights the various jewish traditions and customes that gives a good insight on the Jewish life and history.
The flashbacks also give insights on her own life and this documentary is completely captivating and holds the viewers interest till the very end. Excellent and interesting!
