The promos came out hot and firing but the flick stood out like a sore thumb. The only reason why I would watch the entire flick is only for Akshay Kumar. Bachchan Pandey (Akshay Kumar) sizzles in his portrayal of a small time thug. Akshay Kumar is the only saving grace of this flick.
I’d skip the story because almost everyone would know it by now and concentrate on the other aspects of the flick. The buzz surrounding Kareena Kapoor and her figure comes to naught. True, she sizzles but then, the movie doesn’t have much in terms of her role.
Anil Kapoor as the Don who murders English is a riot to watch and provides a few laughs. But Saif Ali Khan is a sore disappointment. Post-race, I had a lot of expectations pinned on him but in Tashan, Pataudi Junior fails to deliver and doesn’t make much of what’s given to him. The story line itself is a pot pourri (not a good one, that too!) of old Hindi flicks.
The cinematography is good but lacks at certain points with needlessly sharp angles and revolving shots. The music is peppy and might be termed as the saving grace. Tashan, though the most awaited flick is the most disappointing one.
