If you want to witness the pangs of love and the despair and anguish it brings along, then this movie gives you a gist of the brutality of the divine feeling. It is the tale of a college goonda who fall hopelessly in love with an ordinary gal and is willing to go to great heights to get his girl.
Radhe (Salman Khan) rags Nirjara( Bhoomika) as part of the college interaction and in the midst of which he falls for her. She is engaged to a priest who comes to drop her to college everyday. Radhe abducts her and takes her to a secluded place only to reveal the very depth of his heart, which is sufficient to make the lady fall for him. Only when she starts loving him the tale takes a drastic turn and ends brutally.
Radhe’s enemies mercilessly thrash his as a result of which he loses his mental stability and ends up in an Ashram for mentally ill. The well known swamiji in the ashram takes Radhe into a spiritual journey, at the end of it he gets back his memory. After many attempts and grave difficulties he breaks free from his shackles and goes to meet his love, his life.. only to unravel the heart wrenching truth.
The story starts out quite well but as it progresses it takes a disturbing turn and the viewers end up getting terribly depressed. Salman Khan’s hairdo looks kinds silly but suits the thug he plays in the film. The debutant Bhoomika acts well blending into her simple girl image brilliantly. The songs are good and soulful. Watching the always humourous Salman Khan chained and suffering is a bit hard to take.
You can watch the film if you want to court the feeling of despair and depression because that is precisely how you will feel as the curtains go down.
