Hyderabadi Cuisine
Hyderabad House opened its doors around 7 years ago and initially they had given a stiff competition to Paradise with their distinct style of biryani which at the outset reminds you of home cooked biryani. Of course what makes it good is the mughlai touch to the preparation. I can tell you Muslims can really cook good non-vegetarian food and their way of handling the preparation is very different.
Ok, now coming to the actual food available in HH. This restaurant must be the first in Hyd to start the concept of selling the dishes on weight ( which eventually turns out to be a very expensive proposition). However, I recommend their Meat biryani and chicken biryani very highly.
They cater to the lunch goers, the heavy lunch goers and the absolutely digging into dinner goers as their meat biryani is available in Small, Medium, Large and Large with extra meat. Whereas, chicken biryani is available as a standard dish.
I recommend if 2 people are going to order for a large meat biryani which would be more than sufficient for 2 hungry people.
If your a roti and gravy lover, I think you should not miss it giving it a try to Chicken dum ka murg but, my fav with roti in this restaurant is Kali Mirchi ka mutton, it’s hmmmm..heavenly. The meat just melts in your mouth. My only complain is their servings are very small
And, for desserts do not forget to try their qubani ka meetha which is much better than any other restaurant.
Finally, the ambiance is very ordinary, sparse and looks more like a low-end restaurant and suitable for a typical quick office goers lunch and the price is slightly on the expensive if you consider the ambiance.
All in all, I would definetly recommend non-veg lovers to try this restaurant especially people who are fed up of eating biryani at ’’Paradise’’
