Kha Mat thali in Koti Kamat
Most of the people who would like to buy books would land up in Koti book shops. After buying a book at about 1:00 pm in scorching sun I landed in this hotel Kamat. I preffered this hotel because since childhood whenever my family visited hyderabad we used to have our meal in any of their branches. Since I shopped for about 1hour in heat I prefered AC.
The ambience is not bad the AC effect could be rated as medium. I order an executive thali of Rs66. I was given a tomato soup first and the bread in the soup was still crunchy but could feel a bit of oil still, this made me to leave the soup in between. Then the big thali came with about 7small pooris, dal, a NI chole curry, then an typical kannada coconut curry, rasam, another cup was there but when i tasted it i couldnot distinguish whether it was sambar or a masala tomoto curry, a medium size cup of rice.
I had little options to try out. The NI curry was not cooked properly as I could feel the taste of raw onion paste in that. So whats left a typical south indian thali with 7 pooris! Atlast a small cup of casata icecream was given. I thanked god as the icecream was really good.
To add to all these in between the AC hall there lies there kitchen, whenever they openup the door lot of plates felling down or i can plates nuisance could be felt, to spice up this BigFM radio was played through the hall.
The overall experience was pretty bad in case of thalis in this hotel. I would ask the users not to opt for thali other than south indian thali as would lead to wastage of bucks in ur pocket.
