Great ambience and fine dining
Indijoe located at the City Centre Mall, Banjara Hills, is part of BJN Group of restaurants, whose portfolio also include Angeethi, Sahib Sindh Sultan and Firangi Paani. The latter two reside in the same floor as Indijoe. We had been mulling over choice of Indijoe and SSS for a treat, and finally went ahead with Indijoe as reservations were available.
Indijoe is a fine dining restaurant, having Thai, American, Mexican, Italian and Lebanese in their menu.
The restaurant's feel is that of a modern diner. The interiors are subtle. Its not overly done and uses a lot of base wood furniture - nothing exquisite but it still comes across as attractive. The best thing about the place is its lighting, it is definitely is a bit more lighted up than other restaurants. This is definitely a big plus to the overall ambience.
The service is cordial and effective. It was okay to start with but became better as night wore on and the guests at other tables started checking out. Only notch taken off is the waiting time for final dessert orders. However, I would not be overcritical for that, as I didn't order any.
The food was very good. Most of the starters were already doing the rounds when I made the entry but the fish varieties were real treats. Quantities served are impressive, you could easily server two-three (depending on appetite) for each dish. For main course, I would suggest Sausage Sizzler with Veg Hakka Noodles - its tastefully prepared.
The drinks are getting expensive in restaurant but Indijoe rates were competitive. A beer would cost you 160-190 (depending on your choice of label).
Overall a dinner (with drinks) for two would cost you in the range of 1200-1700 bucks. (Totally depends on what drinks you decide to order). If you are only in for food, you would return feeling like a lousy hog for sub 800-900 budget.
Indijoe is a great place to hangout for dinner once a while. Definitely recommended!
