Reliance is now in the footwear business. Who woulda thunk? Usually, one expects anything with the "Reliance" brand to be BIG. While the store indeed looks welcoming in its chirpy red colors, Footprint on Rajbhavan Road, Somajiguda is far from being massive. You have only two floors, with the ground floor stocking kids shoes, sports shoes and women's footwear. On the first floor is the men's slippers and leather shoes section. One of the good things about Footprint is the non-reliance on any single brand. Hence, you get to see multiple brands in Footprint - be it Nike, Adidas, Puma, Liberty Coolers, Red Tape, Florsheim, Hush Puppies, and even Reliance's own brand called Mancini. That's not all, there are also a few more Italian sounding brands.
Each brand has approximately 10 different models. So, while the sheer number of brands may be a lot, you may still not find a particular design of footwear you are looking for. The customer service is very friendly. And the staff are always resetting shoes in the display and constantly sprucing up the storefront. The cost of most shoes and slippers here are north of Rupees 1000 unless you are specifically looking for a pair bathroom slippers which are in 3 digits. It may sound costly to some of you but from my experience visiting "exclusive" outlets of Adidas, etc, Footprint still offers models in the "lower" range. That said, exclusive showrooms, while being pricey, also offer newer designs. Lastly, for those of you looking to buy a pair of Crocs in Hyderabad, you can find this brand at Footprint.
Overall, Reliance Footprint is for the brand conscious who can find their choice of brands (maybe at the cost of variety) but at more affordable prices.
