We were looking around for swimming pools in and around our area (Somajiguda/Banjara Hills) and came across the Dolphin swimming pool. It is ideally located 10 minutes from my residence and runs a night shift as well, so I jumped at the opportunity of registering for a membership. However, as many of my hasty decisions this one went sour.
First of all the swimming pool is a small unit which would not be any bigger than a plush courtyard, and from outside you would never be able to tell that there is a Swimming pool inside. This however, was not an issue, and I was joined along with a couple of my colleagues for the membership.
After the very first day, one my colleagues fell ill with infection in his stomach and conjunctivitis. We thought this was probably just a co-incidence and braved another visit to the pool. Next day morning, my colleagues report said "Swimming pool induced infection". I immediately knew it was bad because by then my eyes too were red and I knew conjunctivitis was setting in. By evening I was having stomach trouble and fever as well.
Third of our gang was still hale and hearty but not for long, as he developed a fever in the coming days. Must be due to his delayed timer fuse.
To cut the long story short. The place is unhygienic, with inadequate water treatment facilities. Venture to this swimming pool at your own risk.
