Flavours of Italy
I visited Flavors after getting the recommendation through Hyatt Regency's home page. (They have a section on Local Dining).
I visited on a weekday so I had no problems finding a seat.
I found the mocktail menu lacking in imagination. The names were not as fancy as I would have liked to see. Though the drinks were fine though. I think alcohol was on the menu too.
The starter and main course was good. There is a huge variety and it is fun learning new Italian names. I tried a small percentage of the menu so it would be unfair to recommend anything in particular.
The waiters/waitresses are well read and communicate professionally.
The best part is the kitchen is somewhat open and you can see the cleanliness within. That takes care of the hygiene part.
Drinks (non alcoholic), starters and one main course for two people cost around 800 Rs. There is no service charge in the final bill. Vat is 12.5 % for those who care.
Location is convenient (near Moolchand flyover) but I went into Defence Colony before I figured out where it is. (Dont enter Def Col residential area). The people attending the phone could have done a better job. You have to cross a park to reach Flavours. The park is maintained by Flavours but I didn't feel it was the best place to be in during late hours. I could see a lot of people loitering around but then again it was a public park.
I found no parking issues (on a weekday). One has to park at the common parking of the DDA shopping complex. Flavours has no dedicated parking and I am not sure how busy it is on weekends.
If Italian is what you want and it should not spell p-i-z-z-a, then Flavours is one good place to visit. FYI - They serve Pizzas as well but the menu has more than just that.
