The customer is right - NOT!
This place invokes my wrath. When I pay 60 something bucks for a cup of coffee, I expect the service/ambience/airconditioni ng to make up for it and result in satisfaction and not a sense of being ripped off. But did that happen here? Noooooo... What happened was, I walked in, ordered a pie and was asked, "With chocolate sauce or ice cream". Now when you you're given a choice like that you'll think thats what it comes with. Not that the girl behind the counter is asking you if you want that at an additional cost. Notice there was no question mark. Dominoes and McDonalds say,"Would you like that with extra cheese at an additional cost of Rs.___?" They will also confirm before they print out the bill, no matter how sure they are. Not this particular CCD. The girl (I'm telling you that she's called Deepika, so if you DO go there, make sure she doesnt misinform you) was not only extremely rude, she didnt confirm the order and then when I was told the amount due (jacked up considerably) and I objected slightly, she said in a most matter-of- fact tone that she couldnt do anything about it and didnt even appologise. Okay, so I have a bill for an overpriced tart-sized pie and I look for a place to sit. Well, guess what? There isnt any. Their idea of a cafe is an unshaded outdoors area - they must think they're in France and not in the scorching city of Delhi. So even though the snack was alright, the horrible horrible treatment by the staff (who I might add, was highly snobbish when she couldn't even speak proper English, unapologetic and crude) left a bitter taste in the mouth that no amount of chocolate can wash away. Also, there was no sign of a person in authority. CCD, just whom are you hiring?
