Fullness
Full Circle's popularity isnt at all restricted to Delhi. Or India. It travels with time and in backpacks that sit on backs of hundreds and hundreds of non-Indians looking for spirituality and peace in India.
Because in Full Circle you get both. Upstairs is the quaint little Cafe Turtle that charges you for ambience because they hardly give you any food at that price. But this review is for the bookstoor downstairs, so I wont be judgemental. The dominant clolour here is green - for the blinds that shade the windows and contribute to that "indoors in the summer" feel and for the shade that you'll turn when you see the whole place. Because jelaousy is what you'll feel.
The books are all given their own little sacred space on those lovely wooden shelves and there are some that you can sit down there and read cover to cover. The proprietor will mind, of course, but he wont throw you out or say anything. They're organised according to theme wherever possible and otherwise according to authorship.
Apart from the books you'll find spiritual and very Indian stuff like candles for all kinds of purposes - to revive various aspects of your life I mean. Incense and other fragrance-spreading devices (!), essential oils and bath products are abundant. Beads and wheels and flowers and pwders and everything. If you ever saw Practical Magic with Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman, you'll know what I mean.
All things that you can relax with. Or that you might possibly crave while reading a book. They see to it that you're satisfied. Dont expect any discounts though - they're strictly MRP.
